Transcript | Dear Brother John I write you these few lines to let you know that I am pretty well & hope you are the same. It is pretty fine weather here just now the ice is not all away off the flats yet. The ferry boat was launched last Tuesday. They are all in brookdryving now the water is very low. Ned is getting better now. You did not say how many eggs you ate Easter Sunday we did not have very many & our hens did not lay very many. Bill Smith got connells big horse Jack Stronach is not getting any better he is up every day. Sullivans were in last week they are much about the same. Mamma made a pair of pants for him I am hooking now I will have a nice mat to show you when you come home mike is down with Jim yet. We were glad to hear that ye did not go brook dryving. I have no news to write this time Jim have got there house all lathed ready for the plaster. Gordon down here is very miserable cant walk any he is not gone to get over it.
