Transcript | Menominee Mich April 12th 1907 Mr John McCarthy my Dear Dear Boy i rite you a few Lines to let you know i got your kind Letter Some time ago And Kept Putting it of riting til Now i was Busey for a while and i dont Like to rite in the Night Stil i read lots avery Night Well in hopes this Will find you all in as good health as it leves us all here at Preasent thank god for his goodness to us all But Mary is Just about the Same way yet Can move onley as you help her she is Just Like a Child a month old you have to Lift her up and Lay her her down Just Like A baby She is very weak and very Low [while] the are [Lif] there is a hope that is all there is this Long time well you said you were login last winter i hope you don well is it all Spruce you get there i suppose it is 2 Grothe did you here of Robert Walls death about 2 weeks ago one of our oldest friends left 3 Children 2 girls and a Boy all growed up the are Not much News here worth riting you a very Bad Snow Storm here to day and last week The same if i was Not so lame I might go and See you all Some time later on rhautism in my knee and instep keeps me Back good Deal this 3 years it Cost me Lots of money and No good yet How does Ned hold out is he well all the time is your Mother Strong and healthy yet i now all the young folks have the Best Chance But Still the go None of us have any [Lace] of Life Be Careful and take Care of your Selves in gods Name In hopes to here from you all Soon i am all alone in this Country without Brthers or Sister And my Best Boys are all gone and don’t know how soon My Girl will go rite Soon yours truly remember me to all friends and family your uncle M McCarthy |
