| Transcript | Henry Gore Booth Esq. Dear Sir, Saint John, 29th June 1847. I had this pleasure 12th Inst., and I am not in receipt of any of your favors since. I have little to Add at present beyond this that Capt Driscoll will be loaded on the 1st Inst. and will get away about Saturday, he will explain to you himself how he got on with his passengers. They are a difficult people to manage for their own good. Those that went to Frederickton I learn are all employed. The rest are dispersing about some of doing well, others who will not take advice are suffering for their folly. There is plenty of labour for them if they would only take reasonable wages. There are many of the other ships still in quarantine a great number of the people dying and great distress among them. Your Ship got off wonderfully well, I wish all may be as fortunate with the others if they bring passengers.
