I hope you will excuse the liberty I take in writing to you but the necesety of my case & haveing no friend in this City Obliges Me to it I am from Dublin which place I left the 25th day of march last by Trade a Hosier unfortunate for me the<y> wont trade in this City as there is no work but for the summer Season then the<y> can earn little more than clears there Board <and> of course can lay nothing up for these times, hearing of your goodness & readiness to Serve your Country men emboldend me to apply to you, if you would be so good to procure me any decent employ you will relieve the distrest
