Transcript | [Letter 2] Dear Sir I am writing this [piece?] for mother, Tilda Jane said far more nor you know about she told Bella McFarland that you had a very bad name about Woodslee but we did not talk about it, we think that she is doing her best to put ill between you and them but you can watch yourself as well as possible The reason that Uncle John is not writing the day that Aunt Eliza was buried he was wanting to put the McAnultys in under Aunt Eliza to give her the first lift And there was a good deal not pleased at him and mother said a good deal till [to?] him the next time he was in and there was none of them in here since that nor I suppose wont so that is the reason [Top of Page 2] we dont believe that any of them sent anything about you home in any letters [Top of Page 1] if you cant agree with them mother says to tell you that you can come home again |
