Transcript | [Letter 2] [Page 1] [Incomlete] South Woodslee Nov. 4th 1903 Dear Father, & Mother From the above heading you will see that I am down at Woodslee. I am writing this letter for my uncle, We received your letter the night before last re Old Marget’s [Margaret’s] money. Now Uncle instructs me to say the following for you to send the money to him by Imperial Bank of Canada payable at Essex, deducting your expenses in the matter. [Page 2] He is at present in too much trouble to write you. My Aunt is very low. I was upstairs a few moments ago and I find her pulse to be 120 per minute. All the medical aid that could be got has been here. On Saturday they had Dr. Melcalf of Detroit Mich. [Michigan?] U.S.A. to see her and he charged £13 for the one visit, of course he come down here to operate but thought it would only hasten death in so doing. Dr. J.W. Burns of Essex, one of my own |
