Transcript | [Letter 2] [Page 1] Tuesday May 30th 99 Dear James John commenced this note but did not Finish it and now it will be finished with another kind of News I am Sorry to fill it up with the Death of W Archibald Duncan J. [J?]. eden he has been unwell about a month he went to the infirmary about three weeks and was no Better I think he spoke none this two Days D-Thompson was with him yesterday and Mr Dickie Solicitor and M Steen he Died last night Monday [or?] early this morning tuesday - so his Death will cast a gloom over this place. The Disease was Stoppage of water that is if we heard the truth he leaves the church now without an Eleder [elder?] at present as none of the others is appointed as yet owing to the step taken by Joseph [Glenn?] |
