Transcript | [Letter 2] [Page 1] Dear Brother Father is in a Hurry and the pen does not please him so he told me to go and finish it We are busy preparing for the twelfth as usual we have not done much new unless paper the room but we will not have them here long anyway They will leave here about eight in the morning and not back till eight at night The band is for the Plum to-morrow night the [they?] were going last friday but they did not all attend they have put on two new skins on the small drums they will be ready tomorrow night. [Page 2] Father, Tommy, William John Gilkison, and Joe is (sic) all getting new sashes from Belfast. William, is the same as before price £11.6d they were all for getting new band cape but the time was short when the [they?] took the notion so they will make the old ones do this time Mr Steen is for preaching an Orange sermon again Sunday and they are all for wearing the sashes so that is a new thing the Protestants will attend too [Page 3] He gave out the best last Sabbath Exodus 13th Chap and I forget the verse but [its?] about the Divine Pillar They all think that it will be a good one you will see a copy of the summons they got printed, in this letter, they have all got one for tomorrow night, the band is not too large this year as there is a good deal will not play, None of the Gordons will play any [nor?] Jamey Hay never come [nor?] George Young neither so there are some absent No more now Bella M.
