TranscriptDavid 45 yrs [years?] 26 William 18 David 8
Eskeradoey [Eskeradooey?] September the 8th 1825
Dear sons James, Joseph and William
I take this in a Good state of health and
[----?] were all the family at the present time
and we are in hopes that these lines may
find you both in the same and together
when this comes to hand I have to inform you
That we had an account in Isac, Cooks letter spacifying [specifying?]
the Pasage [passage?] and of William engaging a
Conveyance for Pittsburg and where the were
whilst in Philadephia Dear sons I have to let
you know that James your Brother is got
married to Jean Mckane about the 12th of July last
and I have some notion in giving to them the half
of Rosnamuck in the corse [course?] of some time I have with
some regret that John has taken a strong notion
of going to you on the begining [beginning?] of May next
and it has [thrice?] win to a Deep concern what to
do for my part I would wish to be with you my
self if it was possible that you could give me any
Certain incouragement [encouragement?] of a comfortable settlement
in that Country where we could be all to gether
for Contentment me or your mother could not
find after you and then having none of a
family thin [then?] but I am and he not being all
to assist us in any purpose wither by trade
of labour on account of his youth we then
we would be both lonley [lonely?] and Destitute of
every thing I have to day that Every thing is
Doing Tolerable well in this Country at present
Cattle of every Discription [Description?] is giving good prices
and other materials accordingly and I consider
that if I was to sell off all my property that
I could gather as much money as would be
sufficent to establish us in a good situation
in any part of that Country but still altho [although?]
my uneasiness would be great after you wither
you were to give me a Certain incouragement [encouragement?]
in going to you I would not like to be two [too?]
headstrong or go against what you may advise
me to Dear sons as I hope you are to gether
I expect that you will ever Remain in that
friendly state of Brotherhood becoming to
Humanity and as you are so far seperated [separated?] from
us you may be well assured that it will
still be the greatest happiness to us in hearing
of your health and attachment to each other
and the Great Consideration most worthy of your
reflectionsd not to Depart from the Dictates
of your Divine master which is able to subverse
and encounter every approaching Danger
[there?] is not any thing much worthy of mentioning
this neighbourhood since William [Departed?]
only that Willm [William?] kelly and Eliza mitchel is
married lately in Case of any of you having an
opportunity in seeing Isac [Isaac?] Cook you may let him
know that all his friends is well give my kind
and affectionate love to my sister Sara and let her know
that I still live in hopis [sic] to have the heart felt happiness
of seeing her yet Dear sons me and your mother
and Brother Joins with our most sincere and
affectionate love and Regard to you and we all
Request that as soon as this comes to hand that
you will write to us amedeally [immediately?] as we will

times as we receive an answer
