Transcript | CORMAC & DONOHOE, & BAUM, ATTORNEYS & COUNSELLORS AT LAW. T. E. K. Cormac. Denis Donohoe Jr. Alexander R. Baum. Telephone "Red 3451". Cable Address, "CORDON," San Francisco. Bank of British Columbia Building Cor. Sansome and Bush Streets, San Francisco, California. (AND ÷ PALMERSTON B'LDG'S, OLD BROAD ST., LONDON, ENGLAND.) April 18th, 1901. Messrs. Joshua E. Peel & Son, Solicitors, Armagh, County Armagh, Ireland. Gentlemen:- re: Estate of Patrick O'Neil. We are the attorneys for H.B.M. Consul-General at this Port and as such beg to inform you that on the 7th day of this month Patrick O'Neil died at San Francisco, testate, naming legatees who are British subjects. His estate consists of real property of the value of about L2,000, and a Life Insurance Policy of L500, and about L4 in cash. By the terms of his will which is dated April 2nd of this year, he bequeaths his house and lot in San Francisco, which, as said above, is valued at about L2000 to his father Felix O'Neil residing at Market Hill in the County of Armagh, Ireland, and his insurance policy with the Catholic Knights of America, to his mother, Sarah O'Neil, who resides with her husband at the same place. It is advisable that these legatees should be represented here, and for that purpose we enclose a blank power of attorney which kindly [have?] both father and mother execute. It is important that the marginal instructions be carefully followed. We add that we take your name from Kime's Directory, and that in case that you succeed in obtaining the necessary power for us we shall arrange with you on the usual agency terms. Yours faithfully, Cormac & Donohoe & Baum |
