Your letter got lost as we couldent [could not?] find it. I took your Photo's over to Aunt Ann to let her see them and she said she wouldent [would not?] of knew you if she had met you in her own [yard?]. We were all very much pleased with your Photo's we have had no answer from Aunt Margret so if you hear frome [from?] her tell (sic) we would like to have her write, the last time we heard from Uncle Kirk's they were all well. his eldest Daughter was 13 yrs [years?] last October and she weighs 132 lb. pounds. Granny [Irvine?] is at Aunt Ann. she is coming over to our place before she goes home Aunt Ann gave Mother her Aunt's Wedding ring we have it away getting it fixed and grandfather and Aunt Jane Knox was there too we would like to have some of you to come over this summer. I think you and Aunt might come over this summer if you all can not get away at once Mother said she would like to have some more (sic) her cousin's Photo's. there is a great deal of Inflamation [Inflammation?] around here this Winter there was to [two?] old people taken out of one house in eight-8-9.day's. We will send a couple of papers to you this week. We have had a good Winter here. #PAGE 2 Steady sleighing all Winter. We are going to make Maple Sugar this spring. You bore a hole in the tree then put a tin spout in the bark under the hole then it runs out of the spout into a bucket. then we put it in a big pot and boil it down till it becomes syrup. and if sugar is wanted boil longer. When we get it made we will see if we can send some and if we can we will do so. We are all well at present - except Mother had a bad cold.
