[page 2] Bella and I were in Derry on Easter Monday but we did not see Archy or his wife as they went to Belfast on Saturday evening he was very sorry he was not there and he said the next time we would go down to send him word and he would entertain us in good style I never saw his wife yet I heard a good while ago about Willie John and Joe Duncan going to America [page 3] and I heard no word since my mother was down in Eden for a week as for Bella and me were not down since you left or in Newtownstewart either and I think it will he a good while before we go we had a letter from your father one day last week about the meeting they had on the 16th about Margaret Duncan [Duncan’s?] money he says that James Houston & him [sic] were going [page 4] to fight but I am afraid they will not get much of it as Uncle Archie is too clever for them all I think the money will go between him and his death they would be as well without it as for all the good it will do when they are taking the good out of it before he gives it to them I belive [believe?] I have no more to say at present only wish fond love to yourself I close this letter Remains Your Cousin Lizzie Duncan goodbye write soon XXXXXXXXX |
