Dear friend Annie. I received your
welcome letter over two weeks ago
was very glad to hear you were
well. Baby is quite well, of course
he is teething and that naturally
would make him cross and fretful
I have got a bad cold. my lip & nose
are so sore I can hardly bear to touch
them. I was in hopes you could
go to the Old Country with me, I
shall leave here six weeks from
next Tuesday if all is well that
will be the 31st of next month. and
I shall go to B-ham [Birmingham?] and stay over
night- and to Detroit April first
and stay until the morning of
Apr [April?] 3rd and I shall start for
N.Y. [New York?] and sail Saturday Apr [April?] 4th
Now Annie I must see you
before I go. I should very much
like to have you come and see
me before I leave here but in
case you would rather you
could go along with me to B-ham [Birmingham?]
and we would go to my brothers.
I shall not make my visit
very long there, for the reason
I said before. but Bob would
feel hurt if I should not go
at all. Dear Annie you have
neither said anything to offend
or too deep for my husband he
says every letter most that
I get something about writing
to you or others but he says he
works late nights and has
very little time to write
and of course I come first in
his mind. but Annie I will
see that you hear from us
regularly after I am once across
I suppose I will have to have
Baby vaccinated before I go.
I will see to that next week or
first of next. It seems as
if I could hardly wait to
see Dear Thomas. I hope
God will spare us to meet
again. Wont he be glad to
see his little boy. he says
If he only had Willie and
Me in his arms he would
ask no more. Willie can push
a chair and walk for over two
weeks. he says Ma [conclane?] a
while. generally in the morning
when he wakes up he will
commence kissing me and saying
ma they are holding revival
meeting at the church I attend
they have held them nearly three
weeks. I have not been over.
Mother has been 4 or 5 times.
I cannot think of any more at
present, have you made up
your mind to go over in June
If you do I should like you to
come and see me. I have the
promise of going to see Thomas
[--th?] place. and his Mother.
well I must close remember me
to my friends and your sister
Write soon and let me know about you
making me a visit. Goodbye write soon.
with Love. I remain your friend.
Ada C Edgar.
